Satya (Lesley) Tunstall

Lesley Tunstall also known as Satya (which means 'truth' is the name given to her by her first yoga teacher, Asa Dustin). Satya was born in Cheshire, England and is a highly qualified ballet and yoga teacher.  She received her dance performance degree from The Northern Ballet School in England and after a performance career attended a Teacher Training program at the prestigious National Ballet School in Toronto, Canada, one of the leading ballet programs in the world.

She has had a career as a professional ballerina, directed pre-professional ballet programs, taught costume design and construction at the college level, attended Coker College as a piano major and performed in several musicals.

She owned and directed The Dance Academy of South Carolina and brought dance into the lives of low-income families and at-risk children, working with the YMCA and The Boys and Girls Club. She has also choreographed musical and dance performances for schools and colleges as well as on stage and screen.

“After finding my way into my first yoga class about ten years ago, I felt I had come home. I embarked on a path of meditation, yoga and philosophy and began to shape my life around the Eight-Fold Path of yoga. After several years of classes in hot yoga and finding ways to help myself heal, I enrolled in several teacher training programs; 200- hour Kripalu yoga, 500- hour Shakti flow yoga and presently completing a 500-hour Astangha based yoga program at The Yoga Space in Portland, Oregon. With my experience in dance and my understanding of anatomy, kinesiology and movement, I am presently dedicating my life to yoga and inspiring practitioners to find their own inner voice and empower them to find their own innate grace and joy.”

Satya presently teaches for Rain Meditation + Yoga, The Yoga Space and Nike World headquarters. She also teaches ballet at June Taylor School of Dance.

Satya leads the Mastering of Key Yoga Poses in Oct and Nov -- 3 spots left!

And, the Yoga + Thanksgiving Dinner is on 11/13. Please see Series page for more info and to RSVP.

Kevin C. Moore

For nearly a decade, Kevin C. Moore has been a powerful ally for movers of every shape and size. His unique approach relies on forces—gravity, inertia, friction—rather than bones and muscles as the fundamental units of human movement. The result is a simple and effective method for reducing pain, increasing performance and helping people of all athletic abilities, from elite to infirm, reach their highest potential.

Kevin started out in biochemistry before becoming a professional actor and dancer. He certified as a Pilates instructor in 2005 and quickly built a devoted following. Pilates was only the beginning, however, and Kevin built upon his training with movement methods like the Alexander Technique, the Franklin method and tai chi, while developing partnerships with the giants of the fitness and rehab industry.

Kevin's clear, engaging teaching style empowers regular people to understand their bodies, love them and use them well.

Kevin holds private sessions on his
Pain-free Yoga: Essential Biomechanics for Yogis approaches.  If you are interested, please contact him through his site.
