Rain Meditation + Yoga provides meaningful guided workshops and classes in a relaxed home environment. Our sessions focus on you and your needs.
Rain offers sessions for all experience levels and is for people who want simple, easily understandable meditation and yoga instruction. We call it approachable mindfulness.
And, we have intentionally left out the woo-woo, incense, and Buddha icon in the studio. We have skipped the mash-in-as-many-people possible studio. We provide a secular (non-religious) approach to meditation and yoga in a beautifully renovated 1896 Victorian home with 10 foot ceilings located in Southeast Portland that accommodates up to 10 people for yoga and 15 for meditation. We hope you stay for tea.
Rain’s founder, Laura Beatty, has worked and volunteered with many non-profits and wants to continue to support organizations with socially good hearts. She has developed a give back program where Rain students nominate a local non-profit with each class visit. Then, each quarter an organization will be randomly drawn among the submitted entries to receive 10%
of the class revenue. For workshops, the teacher will select the local non-profit beneficiary.
On a select basis, the studio is available for rental. We have hosted small team gatherings and a range of yoga/meditation instructors for their private client sessions. Access to the kitchen is also included. Massage therapists are welcome too!
Give Back Locally
Rain students or instructors select a local non-profit that 10% of class and workshop funds are contributed.
Please see section above for how student non-profit selection works and the workshop page for instructor selected.
